a mock presidential campaign for the person i would actually vote for. an edition of 2024, sold out
before anything else, this is a thank you.
erick and jeff built a place where an artist like me could show up unknown and be treated like the work mattered. i found a home there. so did a lot of people.
snowfro for president started in a turbulent political season, when the choice on offer felt thin on one side and hard to stomach on the other. i stopped arguing about the options in front of me and asked a plainer question. if i could pick anyone to lead, anyone at all, who would it actually be.
the answer came back fast. erick.
he is sincere. he is generous. he pays attention. he wants to help people and then he goes and helps them. everything i would hope for in a leader, he already is, without ever running for anything. that is the whole resume.
and i would never wish the job on him. it takes too much from a person, and erick is too rare to spend that way. so the campaign is a joke, and the joke is the only safe container for the sincerity. it lets me say the thing without asking anything of him.
it asks for nothing. it says one thing, 2024 times over. this is the kind of person i believe in.
every output is a candidate. every mint was a digital pledge. minted on prohibition in 2023, an edition of 2024 for an election year, sold out.
thank you, erick. thank you, jeff. i meant it then. i mean it now.
the campaign is still running at snowfro.org.
